Four in ten college student athletes said that athletics prevented them from taking courses of interest, according to recent data.
The NCAA is analyzing data from two recent studies: the Study of College Outcomes and Recent Experiences (SCORE) and the Growth, Opportunities, Aspirations and Learning of Students in college (GOALS). SCORE looked at 8,500 adults who graduated from high school in 1994, while GOALS surveyed about 21,000 current student athletes in all NCAA divisions.
