The Delta Zeta sorority is under fire after dismissing 23 of its 35 DePauw University IN members. The move may have been a purging of "non-sorority" types--those dismissed included everyone overweight and its only Korean and Vietnamese members.
National Delta Zeta officers reportedly came to the Indiana school to freshen up the sorority's look in an attempt to boost enrollment. The 12 women allowed to stay were all slender and popular with frat guys. Six of the remaining dozen quit the sorority after the purging.
