Women bully women. It happens often enough to burn out some careers. Speaking at the University of Nebraska's Women in Educational Leadership conference in Lincoln in October, Dr. Mary Culver said aggression by other women discourages women leaders more than the glass ceiling does.
She's assistant clinical professor in educational leadership at the Central Phoenix campus of Northern Arizona University. A former high school principal, she offered a case study of a bullied principal to explore responses that promote or prevent burnout.
