Timothy Brantley, PhD, ND, would feel right at home on a deserted island--tropical fruits, vegetables, nuts, and fish are his diet staples. This simple way of eating is part of the plan that has helped clients in his Los Angeles practice flush toxins, restore balance, promote healing, and increase vitality--even achieve remission from serious illnesses. Brantley now reveals his trade secrets in The Cure: Heal Your Body, Save Your Life.

"There is a logical answer to almost every health condition," he insists. "I want to make sure that everyone in this country comes to understand a very powerful principle: When you follow the laws designed by nature, you will balance your life, so you are the cure!"

How did you become interested in natural medicine?

My mother and teenage cousin were dying of cancer, my father died early of a sudden heart attack, and my brother and I were struggling with the toxic side effects of extreme pesticide exposure. I was also diagnosed with what doctors called an incurable skin condition: Treatments suggested to all of us by traditional medical doctors were not working. I had an insatiable desire to find out what caused cancer and what was causing my conditions. No one at the time seemed to be able to provide satisfactory explanations. Later, on her deathbed, my mother asked me to find a way to end unnecessary suffering.

I started to believe that all the processed foods and junk drinks that we were consuming could be connected to the root cause of ill health. I stopped eating refined sugar products and radically changed my diet. I also learned how to detoxify my very poisoned system, and when I did, all my symptoms started to disappear, and my so-called incurable skin condition totally healed.

What's the health problem you see most?
