Better ATM Services Inc., a Mesa, Ariz.-based company that owns and licenses software that enables ATMs to dispense closed-loop, prepaid gift cards, announced Monday it has certified Diebold Inc. to use the technology.
The certification allows Diebold's 1064, a cash-only dispenser from the 1000 ix series, to issue the cards. The card-issuing software can operate on all of Diebold's ATMs, says Thomas Honey, Better ATM chief development and marketing officer.
