BEND, Ore., Oct. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Design-her Gals launched the first of its kind virtual walk for Stage IV breast cancer on behalf of the Gal to Gal Foundation http://www.galtogalwalk.org/. Along the way, we have been fortunate to have met incredible women who are battling the disease with grace, determination and sheer strength of spirit. Time Magazine disclosed this month that in 2007, there will be 500,000 women who will die of breast cancer. That number is 200,000 more than last year. And although there is a reduction of new cases -- it is not taking away from the increase (both nationally and globally) of women who are not surviving. Certainly, the organizations that are focusing on finding THE CURE need to continue in their mission, but supporters should also be aware of organizations that have dedicated its resources to those living with and dying of breast cancer today.
