A former Old Testament professor at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary TX is suing the school and its president, alleging that she was fired due to her gender.
Sheri Klouda is seeking damages for breach of contract, defamation and fraud. Southwestern president L. Paige Patterson told her that "he would not renew her contract to teach or recommend her for tenure based solely on the fact that she was a woman," according to her federal lawsuit.
