The National Association of Credit Management (NACM) continues to provide the premier services and benefits members expect. A new tool will be implemented at the turn of the year, a fledgling service grows strong and an established resource continues to produce a bounty of knowledge.

2008 Salary Survey

Just around the corner now--in January--NACM will launch its first-ever, comprehensive, salary survey for credit professionals. The 2008 Credit Professional's Salary Survey will be free to those who participate, and available for purchase to use as a benchmarking tool.

New Online Job Board

In the credit arena, it's always a challenge to efficiently identify qualified candidates to fill open staff positions. Credit Executives, swamped with the ever-growing demands of their professional responsibilities, simply don't have much extra time to conduct an exhaustive search to fill key open positions. "There had to be a way to build an online vehicle to assist busy credit professionals in finding qualified staff," said NACM Products & Services Committee Chairman Phyllis Truitt, CCE. "Our association--NACM--will be the market leader in this area. NACM will be able to post a credit department position and know that the opening will be viewed by candidates with the necessary experience and knowledge." In some cases, companies are even willing to relocate candidates to insure that the best possible talent is chosen, which makes "one of the key benefits of belonging to an association the connection to others with like skills, expertise and knowledge," says Truitt. "Whether your company is located in Evansville, Indiana or Paris, France--we've got to be able to reach out to qualified credit professionals as we seek to fill positions."
