Dr. Mary Culver, writing in "What To Do If Sisterhood Turns Nasty," (Women in Higher Education March 2007) addressed women-versus-women behavior in her case study about "Ann," the beleaguered school principal. Dr. Culver described women who were aggressive, sometimes subversive, even downright bullying.

Being a bully, regardless of gender, is never an admirable quality. Nor do we condone subversion as a key to success. But aggression?
