University of South Carolina football coach Steve Spurrier is getting his wish to have USC "refine" its admissions process for football recruits.
The saga began when USC denied admission to two football players who had signed with USC in February. Spurrier said he was embarrassed that he was misled into thinking the two men would be attending USC.
While both players met NCAA guidelines, they were not up to USC's admission standards. As a result of the denials, at the school's annual football media day, Spurrier raised the idea of leaving USC. Two years ...
