With women accounting for 58% of current college undergrads and being expected to own half of the wealth in the U.S. by 2010, colleges are wising up to their financial power.

With women--especially those of the baby boomer generation--in control of a lot of cash, colleges are finding unique ways to court them for donations. Schools are hosting programs for women on personal wealth management, leadership and volunteering. They're sponsoring women-led programs on campus, and asking more women to serve on leadership ...
