INFORMS Journal on Computing (JOC). Vol. 18, no. 3 (Summer 2006): Special Cluster on Computation in Music. JOC is a quarterly journal that publishes papers in the intersection of operations research and computer science. Elaine Chew, Assistant Professor at the University of Southern California's School of Engineering, Integrated Media Systems Center, edits this issue, which highlights the use of computational operations-research techniques in the analysis and generation of music.
