Jacksonville hosts export training program.

The Port of Jacksonville, and development groups in the area hope to prepare the local business community to take advantage of the port's promising future by hosting a selection and training program for businesses that want to start exporting.

The idea is to avoid a situation where just anybody can start up an export business without sufficient knowledge of the complexities of export practices. The Small Business Development Center at the University of North Florida, the Jacksonville Port Authority, Beaver Street Enterprise Center and the Small Business Center of the Jacksonville Regional Chamber of Commerce are offering an International Trade Certification Program. …
