BEIJING, Oct 1 Asia Pulse - China's cotton import reached 259,000 tons in August, an increase of 30,000 tons or 13.1 per cent month on month. Despite the moderate month on month rebound, the figure still represents a decline of 9.5 per cent year on year, according to Chinese Customs.
For the January-August period, China imported 1.66 million tons of cotton, down 45.1 per cent year on year.
