KOLKATA, Oct 1 Asia Pulse - West Bengal would receive Rs 50 billion (US$1.3 billion) investments in the renewable energy sector over the next five years, a government official said.
S P Gon Chaudhuri, special secretary, Power Department, said on Saturday that in the last three years, West Bengal had received Rs 12 billion for installation of 200 MW.
He said that out of the Rs 50 billion, 60 per cent would go towards setting up manufacturing units.
