Sep. 28--Homewood-Flossmoor is blessed with two game-breaking athletes, Supo Sanni and Russell Ellington, who can light up a football field like few others.
Imagine facing Sanni, a 6-foot-4-inch receiver with 4.5-second speed in the 40-yard dash. He is talented enough to be offered a football scholarship by West Virginia but also is being recruited for basketball by Illinois, Southern Illinois and Iowa State.
Now imagine, at the other side of the field, Ellington, a 6-3 receiver with 4.55 speed whose nine football offers are topped by Iowa State and include Wake Forest and Iowa. He also starts on H-F's basketball team.
"I'm sorry if defensive coordinators don't sleep well," Sanni said with a laugh. "All you can do is put your best athlete out there to cover us, and I don't know if that's going to work."
