Cline urges community collaboration to transform mental health.(Terry Cline)

It's important to pay attention to your role as mentors within your organization, Terry Cline, Ph.D., administrator, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), said during his plenary presentation, "Partners in Hope and Recovery," on the second day of the NCCBH conference.

The field has not provided the framework that is understandable to the public at large, he said. "As providers, what we need to do is to reach our potential," said Cline. "I don't think we're there. You have experts in the field and knowledge to transform mental health in this country. We have solutions," he said. "People need to hear from you."
