I just received the May 2007 issue article "Water Filters: Simple, Effective Options," and it stated that reverse osmosis filters are the best for removing arsenic. Of two types of arsenic--III and V--reverse osmosis only takes out V, the less poisonous. I just went through this with my local health department, and the reverse osmosis filter was not acceptable.
