Sep. 27--No charges will be filed in the death of a college student from Winston-Salem who was involved in a fistfight early Sunday in Wilmington.
The district attorney of New Hanover County, Ben David, said yesterday that the blow that led to the death of Samuel Paul Flinn, 20, was made in self-defense.
Flinn was a sophomore at East Carolina University and a graduate of West Forsyth High School. He was in Wilmington visiting friends when he was involved in a brawl early Sunday, authorities said.
