THE LOVE AND ROCKETS COMIC BOOK first appeared in 1982 and revolutionized the genre, influencing writers and readers alike both here and abroad, where it's been translated into French, Italian and Danish. Its authors, los hermanos Jaime and Gilbert Hernandez, called themselves Los Bros and produced a comic book with gordas, cholos, queers and punks, a world that seemed more true and magical than anything we'd read about before.
