OK, I know that this column is the database report. The topic I will address here is hardly what you'd normally think of when you think of "databases," but I can't help myself. After all, what is a book, other than a database in an "old-fashioned" format? For what it's worth, I'd like to consider these old-fashioned databases. Please bear with me.
Someone asked me the other day if I thought that there was a market for a new print publisher to enter the market. Initially, the idea struck me as silly, but the more I thought about it, I realized that there are several reasons why the time might be ripe for an industrious, enterprising business person to enter the market of law publishing. The reasons why raise interesting questions about the whole print versus electronic debate. For what it's worth, here are a couple of ideas for any brave entrepreneurs.
