The Road Haulage Association has hit out at plans by the Association of Greater Manchester Authorities to impose a congestion charge on goods vehicle operators. The RHA says the plan to charge freight vehicles more than cars is 'totally unacceptable'.

Burger chain McDonalds is converting all of its 155 vehicles to run on cooking oil. Initially the oil will be mixed with rapeseed oil to make biodiesel, the plan eventually being to run them on 100% cooking oil.
