Sep. 12--WEST SIDE -- The death of a woman Tuesday morning on Chicago's West Side was ruled a homicide by the Cook County medical examiner's office. She died from a gunshot wound in the back, according to the office.
The woman, whose identity has not been released, and a man were shot multiple times about 2:45 a.m. in the 2700 block of West Jackson Boulevard, Officer John Mirabelli said. They were found in the street.
The man, 27, who was shot three times, was in critical condition at Mt. Sinai Hospital as of Tuesday evening. The woman, 23, was pronounced dead at the scene.
