MAKASSAR, S Sulawesi, Sept 3 Asia Pulse - The government has set aside Rp500 billion (US$53 million) for environment preservation programs in all of the nation's districts in 2007, an environmental affairs official said.
"Each district receives Rp300 million to Rp1.5 billion under the national program. The government through the State Budget has earmarked a total of Rp7 trillion for environment related programs across the country this year," the Environment Ministry's secretary, Arief Yuwono, told a regional meeting on climate change here Friday.
