SEOUL, Sept 3 Asia Pulse - A majority of South Korean manufacturing companies have a rosy outlook for their business in the fourth quarter on steadily growing exports, the bullish stock market and hopes for a recovery in private consumption, a poll showed Monday.

The Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) said its manufacturing business survey index came to 105 for the October-December period, unchanged from the current quarter.

A reading above 100 means that optimists outnumber pessimists. The index is based on a survey of 1,564 manufacturers across the nation.
