TAIPEI, Sept 3 Asia Pulse - Gasoline prices will be lowered by NT$0.60 (US$0.02) per liter from Sunday, while diesel prices will be cut by NT$0.7 per liter, the state-run petroleum company, CPC Corp., Taiwan, announced Saturday.
Under a revised floating fuel pricing mechanism, CPC officials said the company is obliged to adjust fuel prices on the first day of each month and to put the adjustment into effect the next day.
The amended system works by taking the Dubai and Brent crude oil prices as the benchmark in pricing under a calculation formula that benefits consumers, according to CPC.
