BERLIN, Sept. 2 Asia Pulse - LG Electronics Inc., South Korea's second-largest consumer electronics maker, expects its display division to post an operating loss of between 4 and 5 per cent this year, hit by weak panel prices and higher raw material costs, the company's senior executive said Sunday.
However, Kang Shin-ik, head of LG's display division, said its plasma panel business would return to the black in September or October.
"We expect the display division to report an operating loss of 4-5 per cent due to the strong won, a fall in average selling prices, a rise in raw material prices and higher oil prices," Kang told a press conference at the IFA ...
