During the month of June Gimundo, an online "good news" newsletter, conducted a survey to determine how often Americans were recipients of good deeds.
Forty-one percent of respondents reported that they were given comfort in a time of need; 21 percent were helped with car trouble; 21 percent said someone bought them something they needed but couldn't afford themselves; 1 percent reported that someone saved their life; and more than 38 percent said they were surprised with a good deed not specifically mentioned in the survey.
