Margaret L. Duncan

Nov. 28, 1915 -- Aug. 20, 2007

Margaret L. Duncan, 91, Galveston, passed away at 3:20 p.m. Monday, Aug. 20, 2007, at St. Joseph Hospital, Kokomo. Born Nov. 28, 1915, in Cass County, she was a daughter of George T. and Retta Titus. On Feb. 22, 1937, in Kokomo, she married Oscar C. Duncan, who preceded in death March 10, 1972.

She was a homemaker. She was a 50-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star-Galveston Chapter.

Survivors include daughters Carolyn and husband David Griffey, Rochester, Phyllis A. Hosier, Galveston, and Deloris and husband William Bradley, Kokomo; a son, Richard L. and wife Pat Duncan, Kokomo; seven grandchildren, Tami Barnes, Texas, Steve Griffey, Peru, Natalie and Harry Gehrich, Rochester, Debra and Paul Kingery, Tipton, Beth Hosier, Indianapolis, Christina and Brian King, Kokomo, Kimberly and Bret Owens, Kokomo; and 14 great-grandchildren and one stepgreat-grandchild.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, a son- and daughter-in-law, two brothers, three sisters, and one grandson.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Murray Weaver Funeral Home Galveston Chapel, 401 S. California St., Galveston, with Pastor Karen Koelsch officiating. Burial will be in Galveston Cemetery. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Riley Children's Hospital.
