A CASH-STRAPPED hospital trust's plan to spend [pounds sterling]500,000 on a computerised clocking-in system for all NHS staff has been slammed by doctors.
In the future, workers at St George's Healthcare NHS Trust in south London will be required to clock in and out using hand scanners and an identification number.
As well as adding extra time to the working day, it is feared that hospital managers could use the system to place extra pressure on doctors to reduce their hours.
