LONDON COCOA FUTURES saw a sharp rally in February, setting a series of seven-month highs in the third week of the month, before hedge selling shaved off some of the gains. Underpinned by concern about dry weather in West Africa despite recent rains, the benchmark May contract on the London International Financial Futures Exchange (LIFFE) reached UK[pounds sterling]974 a tonne while nearby March touched UK[pounds sterling]958 a tonne on 16 February.
