Prolific composer and flutist Gary Schocker adds this charming four-movement work to his existing catalogue of some 70 flute com, positions. It is intermediate level for flute, slightly more difficult for the accompaniment. There are no accidentals in the key signatures, and shifting modal polyharmonies are most prevalent. The flute is free to roam over a G-minor meditative melody at the beginning ("Incantation") while the piano adds spicy harmonies in a chordal pattern underneath.
