Edna Mae Burnam, one of the primary composers and authors in the Willis Music catalog of piano music, died April 27, 2007. A pioneer in her field, Burnam was born in Sacramento in 1907, and would have turned 100 in September.
Burnam was one of the most respected names in piano pedagogy for more than half a century. She began piano studies at age 7 and graduated from Chico State College in 1929 with a teaching degree.
