Yuqing Meng, a 16-year-old pianist from Madison, New Jersey, won first place at the 2007 Kingsville International Isabel Scionti Piano Competition. Meng received a total of $8,500 cash and will audition with the Corpus Christi Symphony Orchestra, the Victoria, Texas, Symphony Orchestra, and the Festival de San Miguel del Allende, Mexico, for performance engagements. Meng studies with Yoheved Kaplinsky in the Juilliard Preparatory program.
