Local Parker Hannifin facility receives Cessna aircraft contract.

Aug. 4--The Parker Hannifin Corp. plant in the Weber Industrial Park has received a contract from Cessna Aircraft Co. to produce specialized sensors for Cessna's Citation CJ4 business jet.

Parker Hannifin employs about 500 in the Weber County plant, which is part of the global manufacturer's Control Systems division.

A company news release Friday did not disclose the financial terms or duration of the contract, and did not say whether the company will need to hire additional employees locally to handle the work.

Officials at Parker Hannifin and Cessna could not be reached by telephone late Friday.
