Aug. 9--PANAMA CITY BEACH -- People associated with Eventide, a planned 22-acre Panama City Beach residential development near Lake Powell, talk about their desire to evoke a bygone 1950s and '60s atmosphere and childhood vacations spent at the beach.

"It's a piece of the past brought back to the future," said Jeff Robbins, a development partner with Eventide's developer, Orlando-based Broad Street Partners.

But the development's sales team also is looking to reach customers in new markets, even as it works to attract homebuyers from Panama City Beach's traditional drive markets, such as Atlanta and Birmingham, Ala.
