to host open house

CRESTVIEW -- The new location for various north-end Okaloosa County governmental offices will be dedicated Tuesday.

The Newman C. "Buddy" Brackin Building will be officially opened at 1:30 p.m. at 302 N. Wilson St. There will be a ribbon cutting and open house for the facility.

It will host north-county offices of the supervisor of elections, clerk of courts finance, geographic information systems, administrative services, the state public defender and guardian ad litem.

The building is named for the late Newman C. Brackin, Okaloosa County's longtime clerk of courts who died three years …
