Jul. 31--John Baldwin, the man named the new president of the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock on Monday, called the center's Amarillo campus a pillar in the Tech system.
"We see the Amarillo campus as a real gem that we'll continue to support enthusiastically in the Texas Tech System," Baldwin said.
Baldwin, who will work in Lubbock, will oversee the four West Texas health sciences center campuses, including the Amarillo campus and its Schools of Medicine, Pharmacy and Allied Health. He will begin his new position Aug. 27.
