PERTH, July 31 Asia Pulse - Singapore group CitySpring Infrastructure Trust has made its first foray into Australia by acquiring the Basslink electricity connector from UK-based National Grid Plc for $A1.175 billion ($US1.01 billion).
Basslink is the world's longest subsea power cable and links Tasmania with the Australian mainland.
