ELECTRICITY CONSUMPTION BY CHINA'S INDUSTRIAL SECTOR RISES IN H1.
BEIJING, August 1 Asia Pulse - Electricity consumption by China's industrial sector reached 1152.055 billion kilowatt-hours (kwh) in the first half of this year, according to the China Federation of Electric Power Enterprises.
Electric power consumption by light and heavy industries increased 10.39 per cent and 18.84 per cent year-on-year in the first half, respectively.
The country's total consumption of electric power reached 1514.954 billion kwh in the January-June period, up 15.56 per cent year on year.
