Jul. 31--Sky, horizon and ground swirled in a crazed kaleidoscope as we tumbled down through the sky.
"Whooooo-eeeee!!" I yelled into my headset.
Jim "Fang" Maroney was at the stick of the DeHavilland Super Chipmunk, and I was in the front seat of the ultra-agile aerobatic machine.
We had just done the lomchevak-reputedly Czech for headache-in which the airplane essentially tumbles nose over tail, wing over wing.
"How was that, Slash?" Fang asked.
"Great, Fang, just great."
