Wasp Barcode Technologies has begun shipping the Wasp WPL205 Desktop Barcode Printer, which it said will give small businesses a more affordable option for printing high-quality direct thermal barcode labels typically used for shipping packages.
"Our key channel partners that serve the small business market requested an affordable printer that would serve the growing demand for barcode labels used in shipping applications," said Steve Coffman, president of Wasp Barcode Technologies. "By using a direct thermal technology in a robust, compact form, Wasp is providing a printer that solves several challenges for small businesses."
Direct thermal technology, the company noted, is perfect for creating barcode labels that are used for a short period of time.
