Functioning much like a time capsule, Eccentric captures the essence of the multi-racial Phoenix, Arizona soul music scene through the recordings of "Mighty" Mike Lenaburg, a Liverpool, England-born R & B fan, record store clerk and, later, independent label owner.
Having moved from the Los Angeles area in the late 1950s, Lenaburg became obsessed with North American soul music at an early age and got into producing after some success as a DJ, manager and promoter of performers.
