Susan Tedeschi's fifth release (and first for the Verve label) finds her in fine form, covering a variety of rock and soul standards. Well-known for her deft guitar work, Tedeschi concentrates primarily on vocals for this set, leaving the bulk of the string work to Doyle Bramhall II and husband/bandleader (and Allman Brothers band vet) Derek Trucks.
