The British Franchise Exhibition in Glasgow is now an established part of the franchising calendar. The Scottish franchise market is one of the most vibrant in the UK and figures taken from the NatWest bfa Franchise Survey 2007 highlight that 60 per cent of franchise systems have a presence in Scotland and the Scottish franchise sector has an annual turnover of approximately 800 million [pounds sterling].

So franchising is big business in Scotland and the exhibition, together with the other events that make up Scottish Franchise Week, serve to highlight the positive contribution that franchising makes in building and maintaining sustainable businesses in Scotland. …
