Jul. 21--Winston-Salem police and city officials said last night that the Dixie Classic Fairgrounds served well as a new location for the city's Friday-night concert for teenA-agers.

Since late May, the city has had to contend with hundreds of teenagers hanging out downtown after the Fourth Street Jazz and Blues concerts in Winston Square Park.

Police had arrested teenagers for minor things, such as scuffles, and the city started offering a concert in Corpening Plaza, called "The Drop," in an attempt to give teens something to do and move them off West Fourth Street.
