In the more than one hundred years since its founding, the National Society of the Colonial Dames of America (NSCDA) has collected, preserved, and interpreted the nation's fine arts as tokens of the past capable of revealing significant narratives pertaining to the country's founding and its people. This commitment to its cultural and artistic heritage has taken many forms, from exhibitions of works of art to less formal installations of portraits and landscapes in house museums across the country.
