Tokyo, Japan, Sept 16, 2005 - (JCNN) - Nagase (TSE: 8012), a Japanese trading company that develops and manufactures chemical products, has confirmed a unique property of rosemary extract, in collaboration with Kyoto University Professor Emeritus Tetsuo Fujita's research group.

The partners have found that deterpenoid derived from rosemary extract activates the detoxification effect and the biological defense system of cells.

Further, in the mice experiments, they have discovered that an oral intake of rosemary extract helps activate the biological defense system in the brain.
