BMA leaders look set for a rough ride from rank-and-file doctors at this week's Annual Representative Meeting, according to the results of a new survey.
In a poll by Onmedica.net, the online information provider for health professionals, four out of five doctors of the 350 interviewed said they had lost confidence in the BMA's ability to look after their interests.
The results follow a tough first half of the year for the BMA. Its performance has been questioned over the doctors' pay freeze, the clash with the Government on GP pensions, and the junior doctors' online job application system, which culminated in BMA chairman Mr James Johnson resigning last month.
