Of all the things you can do to reduce your risk of cancer, early detection/screening remains your best safeguard against the disease that kills more than 1,500 people every day. "Because we cannot prevent cancer entirely, it is critical to detect it early," say Lise Alschuler, ND, and Karolyn A. Gazella, authors of Alternative Medicine Magazine's Definitive Guide to Cancer, Second Edition (a must-read if you have or have had cancer).
